CV
I am a research scientist at JD Health, where I work on large-scale AI models for healthcare (Nov 2025 – ). I joined JD via the TGT top talent program. I also hold a concurrent postdoctoral position at Fudan University, working with Professor Hongming Shan.
I received my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University (2020-2025) under the supervision of Professor Chi Liu at the Yale PET Center. I did a short postdoc at Yale after completing my Ph.D. (Jun–Aug 2025), focusing on VLMs for nuclear medicine imaging. My doctoral research focuses on deep learning for medical imaging, particularly for multi-modal 3D/4D image analysis, processing, and reconstruction for PET, SPECT, and CT. I developed algorithms to improve the safety, efficiency, and diagnostic accuracy of medical imaging. You can read my thesis here. I received my M.S. and M.Phil. degrees at Yale en route to my Ph.D. in 2023. In 2023, I worked at Siemens Healthineers in their PET physics group, where I worked on a project related to accelerated PET reconstruction, respiratory motion correction, and Monte-Carlo simulation.
Prior to Yale, I received my B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2016-2020). My undergraduate research focuses on deep learning algorithms for X-ray CT image processing and reconstruction under the supervision of Professor Ge Wang. I also had a chance to work with Koning Health for a breast CT project.
